Cash kennt alle Komplikationen, aber keine Schnörkel. Ich lese ihn beinahe noch lieber, als dass ich ihm zuhöre.

Heute vor 53 Jahren, am 13. Januar 1968 nimmt Johnny Cash gemeinsam mit June Carter und den Tennessee Three im Folsom State Prison in Kalifornien sein erstes Live-Album in einem Gefängnis auf.

„At Folsom Prison“ ist eines der erfolgreichsten Alben aller Zeiten. Das Rolling Stone Magazine hat es auf Platz 88 der „500 Greatest Albums of All Time“ gewählt.
